Do the sensors have to be calibrated?

The Sensedge Mini uses modular sensors, and each of these modules is individually calibrated at the factory during the production process.

During usage, each module calculates the hours of usage and concentration of pollution that the sensors have been exposed to. When the sensors need to be replaced, the sensor module status lights above the sensor module bays will turn red. You can also check their general health % via the Kaiterra Web App or the Configuration Tool.

When the sensor modules are at a low health %, you can replace the sensor modules, without needing to recalibrate the entire device. The replacement process takes only a few seconds, and compared to traditional off-site calibration, saves both time and money. Read more about the benefits of modular sensors here.
