Sensedge Syslog Setup Guide

To maximize the security of your devices, the Syslog feature on the Sensedge can be used to log a series of specific events that are taking place on the device and can send those logs to a Syslog server. Follow the instructions below to set it up.

The Sensedge supports the logging of specific events and can transfer these logs to a Syslog server. The Syslog server must be running in order to receive these logs.

To enable Syslog on the Sensedge, navigate to the “Settings” menu and select
Device Details” --> “Connectivity” --> “Syslog”. The following page will be displayed:

Ensure that “Enabled” is toggled on and that the correct Connection Protocol, Server IP Address, and Port settings have been entered. Once the settings have been entered, press “Test” to send a test log, which can be used to verify that the connection is functioning correctly.
