Does the sound sensor affect the Sensedge Go's battery life?

The KM-350 sound module is powered by the Sensedge Go and draws an average current of 50 to 60 µA at 3.6 V. That is a small addition to the device's overall power draw.

The Sensedge Go continues to run on battery for up to eight years with the sound sensor active. One reason the draw stays low is the sampling design: the microphone powers on for only 87 milliseconds each second.

No extra wiring or power source is needed. The sound sensor draws from the same batteries as the rest of the device.
