Origins Technology Limited (“Kaiterra”, “we”, “us” or “our”) understands you care how information about you is collected and used. Kaiterra is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who interact with us. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes our privacy practices for information we collect through our website, www.kaiterra.com, other websites that link to this policy, and our online platforms and tools (collectively, the “Services”).

Information Collected by Kaiterra

Kaiterra registration and customer support

You may provide us with information about you when you complete a Kaiterra web form, request a demonstration of our Services, visit our Services, respond to an advertisement, subscribe to our newsletter, register for a webinar or watch a recorded webinar, subscribe to system updates, apply to be a Kaiterra partner, download resources, log in to your Kaiterra account, or contact Kaiterra for information. During such processes, we may collect personal information, as defined under applicable law, (“Personal Information”) about you. We may collect your name, company name, company HQ state or country, number of employees, number of subcontractors, address, email address, work email address, phone number, position, title, password, industry-related information, number of buildings, Kaiterra capabilities in which you are interested, years in business, annual sales, services you provide, information related to how you anticipate partnering with Kaiterra, top five customers in terms of revenue, details on your service region, and any questions you may have for us to answer. We may also collect other public and third-party information about you to supplement the information we hold, such as information about the company where you work.

If you upload images to the Services, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the Services can download and extract any location data from images on the Services.

Careers with Kaiterra

When you apply for employment with Kaiterra, we may collect your resume/CV, name, email address, phone, current company, LinkedIn URL, Twitter URL, GitHub URL, Portfolio URL, other website, your answers to role-specific questions, cover letter, comments, gender, race, and veteran status.

Kaiterra websites and use of Cookies

We use automatic information-gathering tools, such as first and third-party cookies and web beacons, to collect information as you navigate our Services. Through such tools, we receive and store information about how you use our Services. For example, we receive information that your browser or device sends to our servers whenever you visit our Services. Your browser or device may tell us your internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, computer and connection information such as browser type, version, language, and time zone settings, browser plug-in types, operating system, and type of device you are using. Kaiterra social networking pages

We maintain pages on many social networking sites, including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook. We may collect information when you interact with our social networking pages.

Our Services may also include buttons, tools, or content that link to other companies’ services (for example, a Facebook “Like” button). We may collect information about your use of these features. In addition, when you see or interact with these buttons, tools, or content, or view a web page on the Services containing them, some information from your browser may automatically be sent to the other company. Choice to not provide Personal Information

You can choose not to provide us with your Personal Information, but if you do not provide us with your Personal Information when we request it, we may not be able to provide you with the Services or information about our Services that you desire to receive.

Use of the information collected by Kaiterra

We may use the information we collect about you to:

  • Provide you with our Services and products and services you have requested;
  • Operate and improve our Services;
  • Personalize our Services and communications to your interests and needs;

  • compliance with our legal obligations;
  • our legitimate interests that are not overridden by your interests or your fundamental rights and freedoms, like research and development, to market and promote our Services, and to protect our legal rights and interests.

As noted above, our basis for processing of your Personal Information for marketing purposes outside of a consent requirement in law will be our legitimate interest. Where required under applicable law, we will obtain your consent to the use of your Personal Information for marketing purposes. You can withdraw your consent or object to receiving further marketing information at any time as provided in our communications or as described below.

Sharing information collected by Kaiterra

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. 

We work with companies that provide services or help support our business, including advertising networks, app store platforms, audio streaming platforms, data analytics providers, marketing platforms, messaging platforms, recruiting software providers, single sign-on providers, social media networks (including links to our Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube pages), technology providers, video hosting and sharing platforms (including Wistia and YouTube- for more information about YouTube, please visit Google’s privacy policy, available at: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy), and webinar providers. These companies may provide data hosting or send communications on our behalf. These companies may have access to your Personal Information, including when we hire companies to help us market our Services and provide you with information and offers related to Kaiterra, including displaying ads to you across the Internet. Kaiterra may also share your Personal Information:

  • With our subsidiaries and affiliates;
  • When we are required or believe we are required to provide information in response to a subpoena, court order, applicable law, government statute, regulation, or other legal process;
  • When we have a good faith belief that the disclosure is necessary in our legitimate interests to prevent or respond to fraud, defend our Services against attacks, or protect the property and security of   Kaiterra, or the property and security of our customers and users;

  • To enforce or apply our Terms of Service, Terms of Purchase, and other agreements with you.

Data Security and Retention

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. 

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Services, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone. 

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Cross-border data transfers

When you use the Services and provide information through the Services, we may transfer your information to a destination outside your jurisdiction, including to the United States. The United States has not received a finding of “adequacy” from the European Union (“EU”) under Article 45 of the GDPR (or other analogous international data protection regulations, such as the United Kingdom’s (“UK”) GDPR). Kaiterra relies on the safeguards set forth in Article 46 of the GDPR or derogations for specific situations set forth in Article 49 of the GDPR (or other analogous data transfer mechanisms set forth in the UK GDPR) in order to transfer personal information across international borders.

European Union data protection

Residents in the EU  or the UK are entitled to certain rights with respect to Personal Information that we hold about them under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (or the UK GDPR).

To the extent required by law, Kaiterra provides you with:

  • the ability to review, correct, export, and delete such Personal Information; and
  • the ability to restrict processing of your Personal Information, or object to its processing.

Right of access and portability

Opting-out of Kaiterra Communications

You may also send an email to privacy@kaiterra.com with “Unsubscribe” in the body, together with a description of the Communications you no longer desire to receive.

Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. Our Site is intended for a general audience and are not directed to or intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without obtaining parental consent.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Occasionally, we may change or update this Privacy Policy. For new users, such changes will become effective upon posting. For existing users, the changes and updates will become effective 30 days after posting and where appropriate may be notified to you by email.
