Do the sensors have to be calibrated?
The Sensedge uses modular sensors, and each of these modules is individually calibrated at the factory during the production process.
During usage, each module calculates the hours of usage and concentration of pollution that the sensors have been exposed to. When the sensors need to be replaced, the Sensedge will display a notification. You can also check their general health % by navigating to the Settings --> Sensors page on the device, or by viewing the device on the Kaiterra Web App.
When the sensor modules are at a low health %, you can replace the sensor modules, without needing to recalibrate the entire device. The replacement process takes only a few seconds, and compared to traditional off-site calibration, saves both time and money.
